Cert III & IV Fitness

Simon grew up in Parkes NSW. He was a keen Rugby Union player from a young age and fortunate enough to represent the Australian Schoolboys and Australian under 21's. This set him on the path of professional rugby in Australia, England and Italy. He played for the ACT Brumbies, Cornish Pirates and Venezia-Mestre Lions. It was during this time that Simon completed a degree in Communications & Sports Management as well as Certificate III and IV in Fitness (Personal Training).

In 2007 while playing rugby in Italy Simon sustained a serious lower back injury and was forced to retire from professional rugby. His early retirement ended his time in Italy and was possibly a blessing in disguise as he stacked on 10 kilo's in 3 months eating his way through all the pizza and pasta he could find.

At this point Simon decided to pursue his interest in Physio by completing the Graduate Entry Masters Degree at the University of Sydney.

Physio Simon’s passion (besides paddle boarding which you will hear all about) is in Biomechanics, Myofascial Structure, Neural Dynamics, Temporomandibular Dysfunctions and Traditional Eastern Therapy Techniques.

Simon enjoys paddle boarding, and is currently learning how to surf. Besides that he is a family man and loves spending time with his wife Rachel, and their four children James, Ben, Maddy and Sam.

Physio Simon's treatments include a thorough assessment prior to creating a customised treatment plan for his patients. Having done more than 20,000 treatments as a Physio he is passionate about continuing education and applying the techniques he has learnt to get results for his patients.

Simon offers remedial hands-on techniques which include a range of modalities dependant on the injury. Simon has studied Japanese Acupuncture, Neuro Myofascial release, Muscle Activations, TMJ, Dry Needling, Biopuncture along with with many other interests such as cupping and gua sha.  Simon keeps an open mind when approaching his patients with the belief that everyone is unique and your body wants to heal itself. Simon said "Circumstances such as stress, external pressures, chronic pain can impact the state of your mind and body and even the way you respond to treatment." His hope is that he can work with you taking a holistic approach so you can continue being active and doing the things you love.
